I grew up in Cranford NJ, and graduated from Cranford High School in 1989. I went to Binghamton University (it was SUNY-Binghamton then), and graduated with a B.S. in Psychobiology in 1993. I completed my Doctor of Optometry degree in 1997 at the New England College of Optometry (where I met Dr. Jonathan) in Boston, MA.
My favorite thing about being an eye doctor is that it gives me the opportunity to teach. I love teaching people about their eyes, and I hope every patient learns something during their eye exam!

Our kids keep me very busy-- Sam is a fun-loving kid, and an amazing ice skater and hockey player (you see his Daddy's Canadian influence there!), and even plays the cello! Tali has such a loving caring personality. She is our own "tiny dancer" and loves her dance classes and competitions. She tells us that she wants to work at Somerset Eye Care when she grows up.

In addition to managing Somerset Eye Care, I also work as a practice management consultant, helping doctors around the country achieve their dreams in their own practices-- what a privilege!

It is hard to balance kids and family and work-- but I am so lucky that I get to do something I really love.

I grew up in Toronto, Canada, and graduated from York Mills High School in 1986. I spent a year at Hebrew University of Jerusalem before graduating with a B.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Toronto in 1991. I received my Doctor of Optometry degree in 1997, and completed a residency in Vision Rehabilitation at the Feinbloom Center in Philadelphia in 1998.

I like the challenge of optometry because every patient is different. I may be prescribing a child's first pair of glasses and contact lenses during one exam, treating an older patient for glaucoma during the next exam, and then spending time finding optical solutions to help a visually impaired patient maintain her independence. My job is constantly changing, and that keeps it fun.

In my free time, I run  (I've completed 2 marathons as fundraisers for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society/Team in Training and I look forward to completing NYC Marathon this fall), and play hockey for the IceWolves in the Mens League at ProSkate (sadly, the Somerset Eye Care Red Eyes team folded).  I like to watch hockey (rooting for the Toronto Maple Leafs of course) and am a huge fan of The Who and Springsteen. I make up for my clean lifestyle by watching TV shows like The Americans, Prison Break and  24 (and sometimes The Bachelor and Dance Moms, but we try not to mention that in public).

I grew up in North Brunswick, New Jersey and graduated from North Brunswick Township High School. I chose to pursue a career in Optometry after graduating from high school, and was fortunate enough to be accepted into a joint 7-year accelerated program with the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Before I departed for my college adventures, I wanted to experience real-world optometry and was given the opportunity to work at Somerset Eye Care as a technician. My journey continued as I completed my Bachelor’s degree and moved to the greatest city in the world for my Optometric education at SUNY College of Optometry in “The Big Apple”.

I enjoy Optometry because of its complex and evolving nature. Every patient is unique with different vision problems and ocular health conditions. I find Optometry exciting because it allows me to do detective work to discover the condition and provide the necessary eye care. I also appreciate the opportunity to interact with different people and educate patients about a structure as small yet complex as the eye!

I am an adventure-seeker and enjoy adrenaline rushing escapades! I plan to go sky diving and bungee jumping; just to name a few on my bucket list. I wait year-round for football season, and especially enjoy watching when the New England Patriots are playing! I am also a dancer and have trained in classical (Bharat Natyam) and semi-classical Indian dance. Action movies are my favorite, especially the James Bond movies (my favorite “Bond” is Pierce Brosnan, of course)! I look forward to providing outstanding vision care and I am thrilled to be a part of the Somerset Eye Care family, once again!
